WOMEN'S GOLF CLOSES OUT SEASON WITH G-MAC CHAMPIONSHIP

LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY- The Walsh University Women's Golf team wrapped up their 2021-22 regular season at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship in Lexington, Kentucky(April 18-19). The 54 hole event was held at The University Club of Kentucky-Big Blue. Battling less than desired Spring weather, the Cavaliers would end up finishing in sixth place overall.

FOR THE CAVALIERS:

  • Madison Ardelean would pace the Cavaliers during the conference championship with a 54-hole total of 237.
  • Ardelean posted a first round 82, followed by an impressive second rounf 74 to close out day one.
  • She carded a final round 81 to finish in the sixth place overall. 
  • Ardelean would finish with All-Conference honors at the completion of the 54-holes.
  • Isabelle Castro and Maria Contreras Luna both finished tied for twentieth place overall.
  • Castro tallied rounds of 79-86-90 and Contreras Luna finished with rounds of 86-85-84.
  • Grace Thompson carded rounds of 91-86-87 for the Cavs. She finished in thirty-second place.
  • Alexis Green rounded out the lineup for the maroon and gold. Green totalled rounds of 92-91-87.
