Cavs Come Up Short Against Storm

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Two goals in the second half put visiting Lake Erie over Walsh by a score of 2-1 on a rainy Friday evening. The Cavaliers fall to 3-10 overall and 3-8 in the conference. The Storm improves to 5-9 overall and 4-7 in the conference.

Walsh initially took an early lead as they were pressuring Lake Erie and put the ball into the box and had it bounce off a Storm defender's arm for a handball. Jordan Semple (Sr., 5-7, North Canton, OH/GlenOak) took the resulting penalty kick and kicked it true for the 1-0 lead at 4:19. It was the only goal of the first half.

Lake Erie scored the equalizer in the second half as Luke Hobbs sent a cross from left to right and found Stefan Martin in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. The Storm then went ahead as Anthony Novak scored off of a rebound with just over 10 minutes remaining.

The Cavaliers return for their final home game of the season against Malone on Sunday. It will be the second game of a men's and women's doubleheader. Kickoff for the men's game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
