Men's Lacrosse Has Four All-Conference Nods, Elite 25 Award Winner

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - With the 2022 Great Midwest Men's Lacrosse Championship taking place, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference released the 2022 All-Conference teams on Friday (May 6) afternoon as voted on by the head coaches of the league. 

Walsh ended up with a pair of student-athletes on both of the Second and Third Teams along with the top academic award - the Elite 25 Award. Sully Dowling and Andrew Singer were voted as Midfielders to the Second Team. Patrick Cuddihy was named Third Team as a goalkeeper as Mike Sawulak was a defender.

Chase Williams earned the Elite 25 Award as he has a 3.95 GPA in Cybersecurity. 

Second Team All-Conference

  • Sully Dowling: Team high 31 goals (7th in G-MAC) along with 11 assists for 42 total points (8th in G-MAC)
    • Tied for third most goals in a season within program, 3rd most points in a season
  • Andrew Singer: 2 goals, 31 groundballs, 20 caused turnovers (team high, T-2nd in G-MAC)
    • Fourth most caused turnovers in a season

Third Team All-Conference

  • Patrick Cuddihy: 183 saves in goal, 12.36 goals allowed against, 53.2% save percentage
    • Program record for saves in a season, 3rd best save percentage in a season, career leader in saves
  • Mike Sawulak: 15 caused turnovers (2nd on team, T-5th in G-MAC), 31 groundballs (T-2nd in team)
