Walsh Highlights Senior Day With Win, 14-2

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers men's lacrosse team honored the Class of 2022 with an afternoon battle against the Wheeling Cardinals. The Cavaliers dispatched the Cardinals 14-2 on Saturday (April 23) on Senior Day. 

In a sunny affair, the Cavaliers scored eight first half goals at Larry Staudt Field. Walsh is now 4-8 on the year and 3-2 in the G-MAC. The Cavaliers used a 7-0 run spanning the first 23 minutes of the game and closed the game on a 6-0 run. 

Scorers by Quarter

Bowman and Dowling each had four goals in the game. M. Brown scored twice while four others scored one goal. Bradley scored once but totaled five points with four assists. 

Walsh totaled 38 groundballs in the game. Andrew Singer had five groundballs with Munoz tallying four. Bradley, Mike Sawulak and Dowling all grabbed three groundballs. 

Munoz and Aidan Martinez led the Cavalier defense with two caused turnovers each. 

Patrick Cuddihy made 11 saves in 60 minutes in the goal with two goals allowed

Walsh concludes Great Midwest play at Seton Hill on Saturday (April 30) at 1:00 PM against the Griffins.
