Five Cavaliers Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Distinction

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Following the conclusion of the 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the recipients of the All-Region awards last week. 

Walsh had five individuals account for eight All-Region (for the Midwest) nods. All-Region is being a top five finisher in each individual event within a specific region. 

Alexa Leppelmeier was All-Region in three different events (1500 meters, 5K and 3000 Steeplechase), giving her ten career All-Region selections and seven in outdoor seasons. Earlier in the month, Leppelmeier was named Women's Track Athlete of the Year for the Midwest by the USTFCCCA.

Ndidiamaka Anaraodo picked up honors in the Shot Put and Discus Throw, putting her at a career total of five with three in outdoor track & field. 

Kelsey Hartsock, fresh off her All-America honor in May, was All-Region in the Pole Vault - her first career All-Region.

On the men's side, Josh Conrad earned his third career honor in the 800 meters while Micah Gremling picked up his first All-Region nod in the 200 meters.
