Eight Cavaliers Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2021 All-Academic Awards for the cross country season on Thursday (Jan. 27). 

Eight student-athletes between the men's and women's cross country teams at Walsh received All-Academic individual honors.

Men's XC All-Academic Awards

Women's XC All-Academic Awards

Both the men's and women's cross country teams earned All-Academic Team honors with grade point averages of 3.385 and 3.769, respectively. 

The team criteria for All-Academic requires a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a team score at the regional championship meet. Individuals qualified for All-Academic awards with a 3.25 cumulative GPA and had to finish in the top 30% of their region.

Overall, 209 teams were named All-Academic while 632 individuals were on the All-Academic Individual list.
