NORTH CANTON, Ohio - As the COVID-19 pandemic still had a grip on the world, it definitely did not stop our student-athletes from working hard in the classroom. The 2020-21 Academic All-Conference Team was announced by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference on Thursday (July 15) and Walsh was heavily represented. The Walsh Cavaliers student-athletes combined for 346 members on the Academic All-Conference Team, a new Great Midwest record (shattering 313 from the 2019-20 school year).
To be named to the Great Midwest Academic All-Conference Team, the student-athlete's grade point average must be a minimum of 3.30 based on the 4.0 system, the GPA shall be cumulative for the student-athlete's entire collegiate career and the student-athlete must have completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution. Student-athlete GPA's reported by each institution were reflected through the spring semester.
