Michelle (Mooney) Clark ('91) lettered four years for the Cavs on the softball diamond. One of the most versatile players in Walsh history, Clark lettered for the Cavs from 1988-91. Clark was a two-time first team Mid-Ohio Conference selection and All-District 22 selection, earning honors at different positions. She earned first team honors on both teams as an outfielder in 1989. Clark hit .345, stole 14 bases and scored 20 runs, while hitting in the lead-off spot. In 1991, she earned first team Mid-Ohio and honorable mention All-District 22 accolades after hitting .387. Clark played shortstop, third base and first base and compiled a .975 fielding percentage her senior year. She led the team in runs scored, hits, base on balls and on base percentage (.526), which is still a Walsh record. She finished her Walsh career fourth all-time in hits (71), 6th in runs scored (63), third in doubles (9) and fourth in at-bats (236). Her career on base percentage stands at .483. Clark was just as successful in the classroom as she was on the diamond, earning NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors in 1991 and being selected as Walsh's "Outstanding Senior in Physical Education."
