Jeff Heiser starred for Dan McCallion in the late 1980's. A two-time Male Athlete of the Year winner in 1987 and 1988, Heiser was a four-time NAIA All-American and recipient of the J. Albert Turner Award, emblematic of the MVP of the Mid-Ohio Conference. Jeff earned outdoor track and field All-American honors with a sixth place finish in the 10,000m in 1988. He also garnered indoor track All-American accolades in 1987 and 1988. He placed seventh in the 5000m relay at the NAIA Championships in 1986. He graduated as a Walsh record holders in the 10,000m, 3200m relay, 6400m relay and 6000m relay. Heiser was a cross country NAIA All-American in 1988, and paced the Cavs to an all-time high fourth place finish at the National Championships in Kenosha, WI. Hesier also excelled in the classroom and was a NAIA Scholar-Athlete three times.
