Corry Appline lettered four times for the Cavs' men's basketball team from 1989-93. The most prolific scorer in Cavs history, Appline (George Washington HS/Philadelphia, PA) is the all-time leading scorer with 2,081 points and is the only Walsh player to reach the 2,000-point plateau. Appline led the Cavs in scoring three times, with a personal best 20.3 ppg as a junior. He was the first and only player to be accorded first team NAIA All-American honors his senior year. Appline averaged 16.7 ppg his senior year and led the Cavs to a 29-5 record and their first ever NAIA National Tournament win in 1993. Corry was a three-time first team District 22 selection and a two-time first team Mid-Ohio Conference pick. He earned second team NAIA All-American honors as a junior and was selected as Walsh's Male Athlete of the Year in 1993. He is ranked first in career field goals (871), second in career free throws (339), career field goal percentage (.613) and is fourth in career rebounds (915).
