Ann Alpeter distinguishd herself in two sports (basketball and volleyball), earning four letters in each. Alpeter was a freshman on Walsh's winningest volleyball team of all-time (51 wins) in 1985. One of the most powerful hitters to play at Walsh, Ann was named first-team All-Greater Ohio Athletic Conference once, All-Mid-Ohio Conference twice and was named first-team All-District 22 three times. She was twice named the MOC Player of the Year (1987, 1988). During Ann's four seasons of volleyball Walsh won 150 matches against only 22 defeats. On the hardwood, Ann scored 776 points and grabbed 708 rebounds as a power forward. She ranked in the top ten in field goal percentage (.436) and field goals made (309), points and rebounds. Ann was a second-team All-MOC choice in 1987-88 and first-team the following year. She was also first-team All-District 22 in 1988-89
