(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – In the final home game of the season, the Walsh women's lacrosse team was defeated by Tiffin 14-7 on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers dropped to 7-7 overall and 0-5 in the conference, while the Dragons improved to 11-3 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
Despite the loss, there was reason to celebrate as Aly Jajack scored her 100th career goal late in the second half. The score came on an assist from Sarah McCormick at 5:23 and made the score 13-6. Jajack becomes the second player in program history to reach the milestone after teammate Maria Nobile did so in the last game.
The Cavaliers outscored the Dragons 6-5 in the second half, but were outdone in the first half by a 9-1 margin after the visitors started the game with the first eight goals.
The Cavaliers will close the regular season this Thursday and Friday with road games at Grand Valley State and Northern Michigan.
