Grand Valley Too Much for Walsh

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – There wasn't much that Walsh could do against a talented Grand Valley State squad as it lost 18-2 at Vasco Field on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers fall even at .500 with a 6-6 overall mark and are also even in the GLIAC standings with a 3-3 record. The Lakers are 9-5 on the 2014 year and remain unbeaten in GLIAC play with a 6-0 record.

The Lakers inundated the Cavaliers with 10 goals in the first 15 minutes of the game. By halftime, they led 13-0.

Steffi Zepp (Fr., Dublin, OH/Coffman) and Maria Nobile (Fr., Westerville, OH/Olentangy Orange) scored the two goals for Walsh.

Walsh returns to action against the University of Findlay this Friday. A 6 p.m. start time is scheduled.
