(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – A dominant first half allowed Walsh to coast to a 19-2 victory over visiting Franciscan at Vasco Field on Tuesday evening. The Cavaliers (5-3) used a 15-goal first half en route to the defeat of the Barons (1-9).
Franciscan did hold the lead for a short while after Tracy McClelland scored an unassisted goal just over two minutes into the game, but the Walsh offense tied the game on a goal by Aly Jajack (Fr., North Canton, OH/Hoover) 58 seconds later. That was only the beginning for the Cavs as they scored 16 unanswered goals.
