Cavs Run Into Storm At Tiffin

In Walsh's first playoff game in program history, the Cavaliers ran into a storm both in the form of the Tiffin Dragons and the traditional sense of mother nature. The Cavs trailed the Dragons 14-1 before a thunderstorm halted play.

Walsh ends the season at 6-9 while Tiffin improves to 8-10 and advances to the semi-finals at Grand Valley.

The Dragons jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Brianna Moss (Fr., Brunswick, OH/HS) scored the Cavs' only goal at the 19:25 mark of the first half. Tiffin turned on the jets after that with eight unanswered goals to close the half with an 11-1 lead.

Tiffin stayed in control in the second half with three goals before the weather became a factor. The game was eventually called midway through the second half after a 95-minute lightning delay after an agreement by both coaches and officials.
