Falcons Too Much For Walsh

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - The Walsh offense had trouble warming up as the Cavs were defeated by Notre Dame College 18-4 on a snowy Tuesday evening. The Cavaliers drop to 5-5 on the year while the Falcons improve to 5-6.

Notre Dame never trailed as it scored the first three goals of the game. The Cavs made it a one-goal game on consecutive scores by Brianna Moss (Fr., Brunswick, OH/HS) and Steffi Zepp (Fr., Dublin, OH/Coffman), but the Falcons answered with three-straight goals of their own. By halftime, Notre Dame was up 9-3.

Moss scored two goals for Walsh. Maria Nobile (Fr., Westerville, OH/Olentangy Orange) had the other tally for the Cavs.

Walsh will look to rebound in conference action against Urbana on Thursday. The GLIAC contest is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
