Cavs Fall to No. 1 Eagles

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Walsh fell to No. 1 Ashland 90-53 on Thursday evening to move to 9-10 overall and 5-7 in conference play. The Cavs beat No. 3 Ashland last season, but could not pull off the upset this year.

Senior Brooklyn Wooten led the way for the Cavs with 11 points. Alex Hochstedler added 10 points and five rebounds on the night.

The Eagles started off hot and never looked back. Ashland was led by its leading scorer Laina Snyder with 23 points. Jodi Johnson, Julie Worley and Kelsey Peare joined Syner in double figures with 13, 12 and 11 respectively. They move to 20-0 on the season and 12-0 in the conference.

The Cavs are back in action on Saturday at home. They look to bounce back against Tiffin at 1 p.m.
