Cavs Top Warriors in Overtime

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Four Cavs scored in double figures as Walsh defeated Wayne State in overtime on Thursday evening to move to 8-6 overall and 4-3 in conference play.

The Warriors led for most of the first half but back-to-back three pointers by Christine Orr gave the Cavs a push to keep the lead at half.

After a run late in the third quarter and early in the fourth Wayne State regained the lead but Walsh fought back to send the game into overtime.  The Cavs held the Warriors to just five points in overtime to win 81-72.

Brittni Clopton led the Cavs with 17 points on the night. Alex Hochstelder added 16 points while Brooklyn Wooten had 13 points, six rebounds and four assists.  Jalynn Graham added 10 points and 12 rebounds for her first double-double of the season.

Walsh faces off against Saginaw Valley State on Saturday.  Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
