Cavs Drop Close Game in Overtime

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh droped another close game in overtime to Grand Valley State 59-51 Saturday afternoon. 

The Cavs led at half-time 21-20, but not before eight lead changes in the first half.

Walsh extended its lead to nine before Grand Valley rallied back to send the game into overtime. The Lakers went on a 14-6 run to close out the game.

The Cavs were led by Holly Grober with a season high 13 points from the junior who added six rebounds as well.  Alex Hochstedler added nine points and four rebounds on the day. Janae Langs led the Lakers with 12 points. Piper Tucker added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Walsh heads back on the road for a two-game tilt next weekend against Northwood and Lake Superior State. They will return home on New Years Eve against rival Malone.
