Men's Soccer Topped By Trevecca 3-1

(NASHVILLE) – Walsh's six-game road stretch didn't start off on a good note as it fell 3-1 to Trevecca Nazarene in the Music City on Thursday. The Cavaliers dropped to 5-6-1 overall and 3-6-1 in the G-MAC, while the Trojans climbed to 6-4-1 and 5-4 in the same categories.

Scoring came early and often as the Trojans initiated the offense with a goal just 3:03 into the game on a corner kick only to see the Cavs equalize six minutes later. Myles Cornwall found the back of the net for the Maroon and Gold in his sixth goal of the season.

The even game didn't last long as Trevecca was quick to go back up in the 22nd minute. The game remained 2-1 through halftime until the hosts added an insurance goal in the 75th minute.

Trevecca controlled the tempo for most of the contest and outshot Walsh 19-9 and held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks in the contest.

The Cavaliers will remain on the road in their excursion south and take on Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday. A kickoff time has yet to be announced.
