(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – It was smooth sailing for the Walsh Cavaliers who zoomed by College of the Faith 102-61 in exhibition play on Tuesday evening. The game was never close as the Cavs rushed out to a double-digit cushion midway through the first half and led by as many as 51.
Twelve different players scored for the Maroon and Gold with four reaching double figures. Will Parker and Chandler Vaudrin led the team with 16 points each. Parker was 7-of-12 from the field and also led the team in rebounding with nine boards. Vaudrin added six caroms.
Overall Walsh shot 50.6 percent, 40-of-79, from the field and outrebounded by an astounding 54-23 margin. Turnovers also hampered College of the Faith as 20 miscues, 12 from Cavalier steals, led to 35 points.
Walsh returns to regular season action against a familiar opponent in former and future conference rival Cedarville. The road contest with the Yellow Jackets is scheduled to start at 7:45 p.m.
